Dates, Times & Location

PRELIMINARY AUDITIONS: SATURDAY, MAY 2, 2020

 

- Location: Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino - Convention Center - Oceanside Ballroom

- Check-in will begin at ####, immediately followed by a photo period. 

- Candidates will introduce themselves to judges and perform a 30-second freestyle dance to upbeat music provided by the judges. 

- Recommended attire for preliminaries is athletic attire, appropriate workout outfit, or dance attire. 

- Returning 2019 Raiderettes are not guaranteed a spot on the 2020 team and will join candidates for Preliminary Auditions. 

- Candidates moving on to Semi-Finals will be announced at approximately ####. 

- Immediately following the announcement of semi-finalists, candidates will be taught a short dance combination that they will preform in front of judges at semi-finals. 

- Auditions are CLOSED to the general public. 

 

SEMI-FINALS: SUNDAY, MAY 3, 2020

 

Location: Exact location will be provided to Semi-finalists. 

- Candidates will introduce themselves to judges and perform the taught dance combination 

- Contestants moving on to interviews will be announced at approximately ####. 

- Auditions are CLOSED to the general public.

 

FINAL AUDITION WEEK:

 

CHOREOGRAPHY: TUESDAY, MAY 12 THROUGH THURSDAY, MAY 14

- Exact location will be provided to Finalists. 

- Finalists will learn choreography for the routine to be preformed on Sunday, May 17. 

- Recommended attire for dance routine is athletic attire, appropriate workout outfit, or dance attire. 

- Practice is CLOSED to the general public. 


INTERVIEWS: SATURDAY, MAY 16

- Exact location will be provided to Finalists. 

- Check-in will begin at ####, followed by an individual interview.

- Recommended attire is cocktail or business attire. 

- Interviews are CLOSED to the general public

 

FINAL AUDITIONS: SUNDAY, MAY 17

- Exact location will be provided to Finalists. 

- Check-in will begin at ####, followed by a dress rehearsal. 

- Recommended attire is athletic attire, appropriate workout outfit, or dance attire. 

          - A uniform will be provided prior to performance. 

- Team members will be conditionally announced at the conclusion of final auditions. 

- Final Auditions are OPEN to the general public.

SEMI-FINALS: SUNDAY, MAY 3, 2020

-Time & location will be provided at the conclusion of Preliminary Auditions

 


FINAL AUDITION WEEK:

CHOREOGRAPHY: TUESDAY, MAY 12 THROUGH THURSDAY, MAY 14

- Time & location for choreography will be provided at the conclusion of Semi-finals

 

 

INTERVIEWS: SATURDAY, MAY 16

- Time & location will be provided at the conclusion of choreography 

 

 

FINAL AUDITIONS: SUNDAY, MAY 17

- Time & location will be provided at the conclusion of interviews


 

BASIC ELIGIBILITY

- You must be 18 years of age or older by the date of preliminary auditions


- You must be available to attend all home games, special appearances throughout the season, and all team practices. Practices are four times a week and begin immediately following final auditions:


                                                          May-January
                                                Tuesday 6:30PM-9:30PM
                                               Wednesday 6:30PM-9:30PM

                                               Thursday 6:30PM - 9:30PM

                                               Saturday 7:30AM-10:30AM

                          *Saturday practices required only for home games


- You must be able to attend Orientation on Saturday, May 30th


- You must be able to attend all photo shoots and media days


- You may not cheer for The Raiders and another professional or college team

PREPARATION

- Auditions include an evaluation of dance ability, professional appearance, and public speaking. Be prepared to share your enthusiasm and showcase your personality.

JUDGING

- A panel of judges will select the 2019 Raiderette squad.


- Judging is based on poise, personality, appearance, talent, and dance ability.

DETAILS

- Employment as a Raiderette is part-time, less than 30 hours per week. Raiderettes are paid minimum wage for all game days, appearances, and events as well as any applicable overtime.


- You must pre-register for participation in the audition process.


- Recommended attire for preliminaries and semi-finals is athletic attire, appropriate workout outfit, or dance attire. 


- Recommended attire for interviews is cocktail or business.


- Preliminaries, semi-finals, practice and interviews are all CLOSED to the general public.


- Finals are OPEN to the general public.



Athletic attire, workout outfit, or dance attire is acceptable for any dance portion of auditions. Cocktail or business attire is expected for the finals photo and interview.

(if applicable)

A headshot is not necessary. A photograph will be taken of you at auditions. 

Light snacks and water will be provided. You may bring your own snacks if you deem necessary. 

Only those auditioning will be permitted in to the designated audition location. 

The Raiders/Raiderettes do not host any prep classes. 

Raiderette practices will be held in Las Vegas/Henderson for the entire season.
